le freak c'est chic

i told my driving instructor today that i finished the new harry potter book already and she was quite surprised-she said i was kinda freakish! but she was laughing when she said it. i didnt take it to heart i mean, the book is 607 pages long.

i have talents see, but none of them are of any use.

id forgotten why i always loved reading as a child. a really good book is better than well, a lot of things. ive been feeling like ive come out of a long slump when i finished reading "a heartbreaking work of staggering genius" a week or so ago by (the lovely) dave eggers. not because it was particularly uplifting-but for some other reason-perhaps it took me out of head for a bit - which i needed.
ive been promoting the book to everyone since i finished it.

i think thats one of the reasons i loved a good book-it provided escape and its a welcome relief to have someone elses imagination provide it rather than your own.

seeing as i have finished both books, anyone want to borrow?
i so want to discuss it with people!!

(i'm sad, i know)
